Dr. Sivapiragas is a highly trained and experienced general surgeon with a proven record in both clinical excellence and leadership. He earned his MBBS from AIMST University in 2009 and went on to complete a Master of Surgery at the University of Malaya in 2019, with specialization in complex general surgery. Gazetted as a General Surgeon at Hospital Tuanku Jaafar in 2020, he later served as Head of the Surgical Department at Hospital Kuala Pilah (2022–2024), overseeing surgical teams and ensuring high standards of patient care.
He has expertise in a broad range of surgical disciplines, including laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, endoscopic procedures such as OGDS and colonoscopy, oncological surgeries of the colon, rectum, breast, and thyroid, as well as laser surgery for perianal conditions. His professional affiliations include membership in the College of Surgeons and the Malaysian Medical Association, and he has been recognized with the Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang from JKNS in 2023.
Dr. Sivapiragas believes that surgery is both an art and a science. He combines meticulous technical skill with compassionate patient care, ensuring that each patient is informed, comfortable, and supported throughout their surgical journey.
